Çocuklar neden gözü açık uyur?

Gözün öne doğru çıkık olması: Egzoftalmus adı verilen bu durum; bir veya her iki göz küresinin öne çıkık olması, göz kapağının kapanmasını engelleyebilir. Ayrıca tiroid hastalığının sebep olduğu retraksiyon denilen üst ve alt göz kapaklarının geriye doğru çekilmesi, lagoftalmi derecesini artırabilir.
