Kedi felci neden olur?

FİP hastalığı, kedilerde ortaya çıkan viral bir enfeksiyondur. Feline coronavirus (FCoV) adı verilen Kedi corona virüsünün mutasyona uğraması sonucu oluşur. Bu virüs, genellikle kedilerin bağırsaklarında bulunur ve çoğunlukla hafif semptomlarla seyreden bir enfeksiyona neden olur.

Kedilerde gençlik hastalığı nasıl anlaşılır?

İlk olarak yüksek ateş görülür ve ateş dalgalanmaları şeklinde seyreder. Bununla birlikte, kusma, kanlı ishal ve şiddetli dehidrasyon gibi belirtiler ortaya çıkar. Hasta kediler iştahsızlık ve durgunluk gösterirler. Ayrıca, hastalık ilerledikçe kedilerin aşırı zayıfladığı da gözlemlenir.

Kedilerde gençlik hastalığı ne zaman geçer?

Kesin teşhisi virüs izalasyonuyla konulur. Sonuç olarak hastalık klinik belirtiler ortaya çıktığı 2 gün içerisinde 2 - 6 aylık kedilerde %80 oranında ölümle şekillenir ve hastalığın akut dönemini atlatan hastalar 1 hafta içerisinde iyileşir ve herhangi bir hastalık belirtisi kalmaksızın iyileşir.

Kediler neden ayaklarının üstüne düşer?

Kedilerle ilgili pek çok fenomen olsa da patileri yukarıda tutularak bırakılmalarına rağmen hep dört ayak üzerine düşüyorlar. Bilime göre kedilerin bu dört ayakları üzerine düşme davranışına 'Kedi Doğrultma Refleksi' adı veriliyor. Yapılan çalışmalara göre sonradan kazanılan bir özellik yani genetik değil.

Geçici felç ne kadar sürer?

Yüksekten düşen kedilerin büyük bir çoğunluğu eve geri dönemezler ve sahipleri düşüşü görmedilerse bile onların yokluğu ile bir şeylerin ters gittiğinin farkına varırlar. Kedinizin düştüğüne şahit olursanız hiç vakit kaybetmeden bir hayvan hastanesine ya da veteriner kliniğine götürmeniz gerekmektedir.
