Hazırlanan lutenitsalar, steril edilmiş kavanozlarda saklanabilir. Lutenitsa yapımına başlamadan önce kavanozları sıcak suda kaynatmak ve kurumasını sağlamak çok önemlidir. Hazırlanan lutenitsa kavanozlara doldurulduktan sonra, kavanoz kapağı sıkıca kapatılır. Ardından buzdolabında 6 aya kadar muhafaza edilebilir.
